The ABCs

Kaden is still a little young to learn his alphabet but my BNF (Best Nursing Friend) Kelly tagged me on her blog so here are the ABCs about me:

A--Attached or Single? Attached to Luke
B--Best Friend? BNF Kelly, sister Janetta
C-- Cake or Pie? How about both. . .
D-- Day of Choice? I love Mondays because I never work on Mondays!
E-- Essential Item? The big 3--phone, keys, wallet (now these are housed in the diaper bag)
F--Favorite Color? Pink
G-- Gummy Bears or Worms? bears
H-- Hometown? Born in Edmonton, raised in P-town
I-- Indulgence(s)? Sour Patch Kids, long showers, Everybody Loves Raymond reruns
J-- January or July? January 4th! (So my half birthday of July 4th is also fabulous)
K-- Kids? Kaden Lucas 4-23-08
L-- Life is Incomplete Without? My boys and Kade's cute baby shoes
M-- Marriage Date? May 3, 2006
N-- Number of siblings? 4 bros and 3 sisters
O-- Oranges or Apples? Apples unless it is orange smiles at half-time of a game.
P-- Phobias or fears? 1- Falling through a sewer cover or grate on the sidewalk--I will always walk around it. 2- Turning into a whining elderly patient that causes a nurse undue stress at work :)
Q-- Quotes? Nothing serious comes to mind right away but I do take pride that I can quote "The Princess Bride" in its entirety thanks to watching it every Saturday with Janetta when we were little. . .Inconceivable!
R-- Reason to Smile? Kade started rolling over this week!
S-- Season? Spring--flowers, upcoming fun and vacations, short sleeves

U-- Unknown Fact? I was deathly afraid of ET when it came out. I probably could handle it now, especially if the lights are left on.

W-- Worst Habit? Unsolicited correction of people's grammar
X-- Xray or Ultrasound? Ultrasound--I plan on more babies but I'll pass on broken bones or an ileus

Busy Month!

The summer is flying by! We went on a fun trip down to Whittier to visit Luke's family and Kade met that side of the family. We spent a day at Disneyland, and celebrated Father's Day, Kara's graduation from high school, and Shawnelle's birthday. Kaden had his 2 month check-up and now weighs over 14 pounds! (Probably even more now since that was 2 weeks ago.) He has cute chunky arms and legs and the best smile :) We gained a new nephew when Miles joined the family and were so excited to meet him for the 4th of July weekend. Kaden was blessed on July 6th with lots of family around from both sides--we love you and thanks for your support.
