A bad first day

Everyone wants a flawless starting of a new job. The morning should run smoothly, your clothes and hair should look great, and you should arrive a little early after finding a close parking spot. All these things should calm your nerves and help you have the best first day ever.

Unfortunately, this was not the case for Luke. He did get up on time, his clothes and hair looked great, and he did arrive a little early. The great parking spot was not an issue because Kade and I had to drive him to work. . .

It all started when Luke washed both cars on Friday afternoon. Kade played in the Jeep while Luke was cleaning and Kade turned on the dome lights in the Jeep and we didn't notice, so we then had a dead battery on Saturday. No worries though, we jumped the Jeep with the Gal and went about on our way.

Too bad that after we jumped the Jeep we left one of the doors on the Gal slightly ajar so its battery also died. And then the Jeep's battery needed to be replaced.

All this boils down to Monday morning when Luke went out to start the Gal and drive to work. It was dead. Good thing was have two cars so he went to the Jeep. It was dead. A little bit of panic set in.

Our wonderful neighbor jumped the Gal and Luke, Kade and I all drove him in to San Jose because I needed a car that day to go to my first doctor visit for baby Cache on Monday.

Both cars now run but it was not a flawless starting to Luke's career! A good story for him to tell when he is a business executive and is trying to motivate his new employees on their first day.

I am glad you have nice neighbors. I hope Luke laughed about it all day, so it reduced the new job stress.

Cars are stressful! Hopefully everything else it going well. How do you like where you live? My neighbors are still trying to find a place. Where are you exactly? How is the rent? E-mail me.

What are the odds. I can picture Luke's smile through the whole thing. Glad that things are better.
